For those who appreciate our wine but cannot regularly make it up to the Perth Hills to grab a bottle or two, there’s now another solution. Take a visit to The Bottle-O Liquor Store located at 855 Albany Highway in East Victoria Park. John and his crew currently stock our 2007 Chenin, 2006 Shiraz Cabernet, 2007 Chardonnay and most recently, our fresh and fruity 2013 Vermentino.
To help make the locals aware of our wines, we will be conducting an in-store tasting with selected wines this Saturday evening [2nd August 2014].
Did we mention that we serve food at our cellar door? After all, our wines are styled to compliment this wonderful necessity of life.
Visitors to our cellar door can not only sample our aged wines, though are welcome to purchase and consume alcohol on our premise, enjoy a tasting board of gourmet cheeses, charcuterie meats, local fruit and freshly baked ciabatta, or simply indulge in the CCC combo…..Coffee & Cake with Cream.
The Perth Hills not only produces great wine, it’s also a magnificent source of fresh fruit. Apples don’t come any fresher, nor crisper than those pictured here – direct from the orchard, just a stone throw away. The Jokers make the wine, whilst The Boss (Ray Ferrari) tends to the orchard. So a visit to the Due Jolly cellar door can be a healthy weekend escape too! Apples, pears, nectarines, and plums, are all available for sample when in season.
Would you like to know how we celebrate a the birth of a new vintage? We throw a party! Thanks to Sally Wittenoom (photographer), our product launch for 2010 was captured for all to enjoy. The keen eye will spot the Jokers who played a part in making the wine.
Meet the newest edition to the Due Jolly team – a stainless steel wine thief. It may look painful, but trust me – this finely crafted device will bring a gentle smile to any wine lovers lips when it arises from an oak barrel carrying a few precious mouthfuls of the cherished red or white liquid. Thanks to the team at W E Ware & Co for supplying these thieves in a stainless steel form. The glass version wouldn’t last too many days in my company.
